  1. I forgot how wonderful your artwork is. Haven’t hit the chat page for a long while. If you haven’t been out and about, I think everyone has gone insane. LOL I was laughing so hard at Chad, he is still dishing it out. I can’t believe he hasn’t grown tired of that. Logan is just hilariously nuts! hahaha Well the rest… you get the idea. Everyone is just plugging along being themselves I guess. : )

  2. Yup! lol, Thanks! I have more coming as a part of the “package” of the next “album”! Which should be released here byyy..Tomorrow! Just matters how long it takes for Youtube to upload them all. (no, you cant find my channel and watch the already uploaded ones, their set on private to where only i can find them ;D i like to have things found on time lol)

  3. EMI is to sell the iconic Abbey Road studios in London, where The Beatles recorded most of their albums

A sale could raise tens of millions of pounds for the music group, which is looking to reduce the burden of debt following the 2007 buy-out by Terra Firma.
EMI has been courting bidders for the property in St John’s Wood, which it bought in 1929 for £100,000 and turned into one of the world’s first custom-built recording studios, the Financial Times has reported.
Sir Edward Elgar used Studio One in 1931 to record Land of Hope and Glory with the London Symphony Orchestra, and during the Second World War the complex was used for propaganda recordings for the Government plus BBC radio broadcasts.
But it was The Beatles who really put the studios on the map, using them to record the bulk of their work between 1962 and 1969.
They named their final work Abbey Road, the cover of which immortalised the pedestrian crossing outside the studios as the four band members walked across it in Iain Macmillan’s classic photograph.
Pink Floyd recorded their 1970s album Dark Side of the Moon there, while contemporary bands that have used them include Blur, Radiohead and Manic Street Preachers.
However, in recent years the studios have faced cheaper competition from recording facilities in other countries.
Recording technology now allows artists to record using just a laptop computer, making it harder for companies to justify an expensive infrastructure.
But Abbey Road is still valuable as one of the few venues able to accommodate an entire orchestra, which has allowed producers to record scores there for films including Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.
A sale could boost EMI’s finances at a time when Terra Firma is trying to get £120m from investors by June to avoid breaching covenants on loans of £3.3bn from Citigroup
    ________________________________________________________________________-

You should have put a bid in to buy it. :)

  4. Nevermind… duh, I found it and it wasn’t the Walrus song. No wonder I have a headache… brain dead. LOL

  5. haha, my dad just bought some land in Colorado, I dunt think he would oblige to buy it XD

Thats a pretty cool cartoon p:

Working on getting the album put together on the blog, as we speaakk.

  6. Ex-Beatle backs move to save Abbey Road
Sir Paul McCartney has pledged his support to save Abbey Road Studios after reports that record company owners EMI plan to sell the property
The studio was made famous by the Beatles’ eponymous final album, Abbey Road. The band recorded 90 per cent of their music at the north London site, joining Pink Floyd, Blur and composer Sir Edward Elgar in a long line up of celebrated acts to record there.
In a TV interview, Sir Paul described Abbey Road as a “great studio”. He said that “it would be lovely if somebody could get a thing together to save it.”
EMI has made no comment on a potential sale, but Sir Paul said, “there are a few people who have been associated with the studio for a long time who were talking about mounting some bid to save it. I sympathise with them. I hope they can do something, it’d be great.”
EMI originally bought Abbey Road Studios in 1929 for £100,000, but now it’s parent company Terra Firma reportedly wants to raise tens of millions of pounds on a sale.
The company has made attempts to protect the studio from increasing competition, with projects like Abbey Road Live, which offered fans a way to buy instant concert recordings at venues. Recent recording developments and cheaper overseas facilities have left the studio struggling to keep up with its competitors.
    ——————————————————————————
Well you may have just lost your chance to hobnob with Sir Paul. xd!

  7. I like you little TinyPic image on the sidebar. I also see you have advertising now. Yesterday it was Google today it is Netflix. I wonder if there will be some kind of x-rated stuff forth coming. =]

  8. Yes I found my comment! Gawd what a week. It has netflex ad on today. It is a google ad box when you com onto your home page from googling your blog name. That’s all I can tell ya.

  9. Have finished “Life, the UNIVERSE, and EVERYTHING” and now starting on
“So Long, and Thanks For All The Fish!” the next book of the series.

  10. Today is the happiest day of my life (music wise). My Ipod finally start showing my custom album artwork on my custom albums!!!!!!!!! This may seem very unimportant to you all, but this is VERY VERY VERY important to me, and when I found it to have actually added the artwork I almost jumped out of my seat! Yay for Itunes for actually doing its job!!! :D :D

  11. I haven’t been here for a little while. Looks like things are going great!! Yippee! Days like that are worth a rebel yell!

  12. Welcome back lol
Finished So Long And Thanks For All The Fish

Now reading Mostly Harmless. Not as good so far as the first 3 books. (the 4th was ehhh okay)

  13. Good reading~

I see we have lost a comrade. Well more mine than yours, but still the same. It was by his choice. We just want everyone to be happy! So be it. =]

  14. :D

Yeah, for their lastest short i suppose. I didn’t like it as much as I liked their first three, though it did have a LOT of funny moments :P

  15. “A Matter of Loaf and Death,” but I absolutely adored Granny O’Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty,” a revisionist bedtime story. It was so fun!

Where the flying hell is everyone? My gosh… I am beginning to hear my own echo wherever I go. PPPPPPLLLLL hear me roar!

  16. Real Love. . . where did it go? Great vid and song!! Right on target…. God whatever happened to all of us? Love the harmony on this song… where did all the harmony go? Logan is trying to find himself. Brian and his Bff have a new blog just for the two of them, and and … well I guess like you said… Dodge just got smaller. LMAO I guess we may have just got “Bigger”? :P

  17. Have a good one! Dodge just keeps getting smaller and life just keeps getting bigger. Isn’t it amazing?

Ride the wave . . . “Don’t gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver or gold…”

  18. Yup. Sorry I haven’t been on much, I’m quite busy during the weekdays with School and Track. I will try to keep Dodge alive ;) But it may be the end of the popularity of WordPress blogs. I, however, will keep on going! As long as I have an audience i won’t let down!

  19. Busy ppl get things done. Spring break is just around the corner! Yippee

    Huh?

More later as it developes… Good golly I must have spring fever. I am bushed. Fresh air will kill ya.

  20. Heres a cool song one of my brothers friends made. Hes one of my brothers friends (their sort of like a group cause their always hanging out lol) He was the percuss ions “god” in marching/orchestra band (he was the perfect percussionist)and can play the piano better than I can! I really like this song p:
He said this is the product of boredom at college.

  21. Oh and zipo, narnias back! Didn’t know if you had checked out her narnia site lately

  22. The Life and Times of Glint. Poor Glint. There were those who tried to kill Glint, change Gints name and just basically ride Glint out of Dodge. HAHAHA

  23. You can’t run it through a filter? If you have access to Soundforge and the Noise Reduction filter, possibly it would help.

  24. I got it to somewhat work.

So, I have just been informed that I have to go to track practice all next week and that my parents decided we need to do house work during Spring Vacation.
This last week I have had the most excruciating workouts in track (5 miles a day) with me feeling very VERY tired. I have worked all week on 9 weeks tests, and have been practicing for band.

My Spring Break has been canceled due to my parents not believing in time off.

  25. Are your parents communists? ROFL! Well decipline builds strong character they say. Now let’s find out who “they” are and send them to – Auschwitz.

Have at least have a good weekend ! (?) :P

  26. lol, no their not communists, but they are liberals. Which is communism to tea baggers.

Im having a problem, two songs im working on sound similar (they both have one style of playing that has the same notes), and I can’t have that, but their both really really good, and i dont want to remove any of them. What do I do? :s

  27. Maybe they could be more upwardly mobil and become Latte Liberals?
Latte (coffee) Liberals vs. Tea Bag (lemon, no sugar) xd!

Hmmm, add an extra note to one? :P

  28. Zipo :

The Life and Times of Glint. Poor Glint. There were those who tried to kill Glint, change Gints name and just basically ride Glint out of Dodge. HAHAHA

Lol. The Burklets. Didn’t you come up with his name Opus?

  29. ErinGoBragh
♣Happy St. Patrick’s Day . . . there is a song in them wee eyes!

Oh, I forgot the Burklets. I think they moved out of Dodge too.

  30. Oh, no i dont think so. I made Milo. I wish to see Storybuilder become popular again.

Im thinking of releasing this mono album I’ve put togethor, but it doesn’t reach up the standards of Universal Sounds, which was carefully weaved together. This was more, put together with spontanious improvisation. But therea few good tracks on it. I have an extended Voyaging Sound in it (9:00+ long hehe..) With some added bits to the original 6:00 parts. I also have created what i was looking for in the actual melody of Voyaging Sound. And other original mono mixes that didn’t make it to albums. its like the white album “Throw some more tracks in there to fill up the spaces!” (thats basically how they did it according to the Anthology)

  31. Oh I do remember Milo! Good golly… does memory overflow strike a chord? :P

9:00+long… is almost a snore. But, on cracks… they have a tendency to entice the listener.

And I think you are talking over the heads of most bloggers now.

  32. Lol don’t worry their very interesting 9 minutes  and what do you mean over their heads?

  33. I mean, most ppl don’t even have a clue what a “measure” is let alone all the musical info you are throwing out there. The typical blogger is talking about their classmates, love interests, inept teachers, or bed hair. ROFL.

  34. Haha, it depends on the type of blog. My blog is about the arts ( namely music  ) whilst others can be whatever the blogger wishes it to be about, but yeah, I don’t talk about that stuff mostly because I don’t find it interesting, but that’s just me. I quite enjoy your posts Ari; you have much better writing style than mine lol and more blog like. And thank you zipo! I am atill learning the lingo of Music, in fact just a few week ago i learned how to correcty pronounce reprise! thank you john lennon! Hes indirectly taught me many things in music lol I appreciate all of your feedback everyone! Without you all this would be a dead blog!:p

  35. There’s not one thing wrong about talking about classmates, love interests, inept teachers or even bed hair (you forgot that one)! I was making a point that those topics seem to be the common thread & evoking the most conversation amongst bloggers. While we celebrate our cultural differences, everyone has a few things in common. Appears those topics are it for now. :P I thought possibly if Opus branched out a bit, he may get a few more comments. But I guess I did it for him. xd! I do enjoy reading everyone’s blogs.

Yes Opus you do indeed foster an appreciation of the art of music. Our enjoyment is likely to be enhanced by greater knowledge of its history and the culture that shaped it. “Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn. They teach you there’s a boundary line to music. But man, there’s no boundary line to art.” (Charlie Parker)
    Love Charlie Parker… jazz!!

Tonight’s forecast: dark, with scattered light toward morning.

So let’s all give a big thank you to the Hippy Dippy Weather Man.

  36. Right! And the bed hair! I don’t think my bed hair is that bad though haha

I’d comment more on your blog Opus, but I’m not a music buff like you and Zipo, so half of the time, when I read y’all’s convos, I’m just like …wha? lol

    Hmm…Thanks Opus, I didn’t even know I had a writing style :D

  37. =] Ppl love to speak of their misplaced sections of hair. It’s like a common topic like the weather. We all can talk of both easily. I think bed hair is a good style, which blends harmoniously into the scene of understated trends.

Yah, thanks for supporting my point on the music conversations. I love it but I think sometimes a break from it would be like RECESS. Which I haven’t had one of those in TOO MANY YEARS!!!

I might make another comment on your blog Ari while I listen to the great music! xd! :P If you don’t live it you can’t give it.

  38. Sorry about my absence, been busy(i just love cliches). I have officially rejected my mono album for release. I feel it’s too “noobish” and does not reach the standards Universal Sound set. Besides, I’ve already started work on my next big stereo album, with 4 tracks finished and 1 in production. so, basically, my mono album has been Let It Be’d whilst it being a Yellow Submarine type of album. However, I don’t have a Phil Spector to “fix it up”, so I’ll just shelve it for now. I will, however, release singles. Because there are some pretty good tracks on it too. 2 already released ones that i have made into mono that sound MUCH better in mono, one is Zipo’s favorite from Opus IV, and the other an obscure one that i don;t think anyone noticed, but I’ve always been fond of. Then there’s Voyaging Sound and the main title song. It’s gonna be a while till this next album will be complete. Have a good weekend, everyone!

  39. Alright, so, these singles will have a very trebly kinda sound to them because WMM doesnt believe in mono. just a heads up ;)

  40. Say I thought I was on the wrong blog. You are spring house cleaning. Very nice change up. I like the avartar as well.

Now I need to follow what you are saying. You are going to a series in the National Parks. Baseball? LOL March Madness maybe? ;)

And then I see you may have mono from wrestling… hence the WMM.

Just jkn’ with ya as you know. I will look toward all your musical offerings, wherever they might be found.

  41. no you see, like the last quarter sets were the Colonies and D.C, now its going to be the National Parks. (yellowstone, gran canyon…etc)

WMM has mono from mono :p

  42. I like the parks! It will be like…

Grandioso Motif . . .One Quarter of a Timeless Collection
Opus 1, No. 4 I just had to put a title to it! I am sure it will be on PBS!

  43. American Idol’s Top 9 performance night next Tuesday will focus on the songs of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Ryan Seacrest announced during Wednesday night’s telecast.

American Idol last focused on the music of the Beatles’ legendary frontmen in season 7, when Top 12 and Top 11 week carried the themes of “Lennon-McCartney songbook” and “Beatles,” respectively.

    Watch it … ?

  44. Nah, only stuff I watch on TV is the good ol’ PBS british shows on Saturday night and the NASA channel, Science Channel, Sometimes Animal Planet (they dont show my favorite shows anymore ;( ), and the History Channel.

Sometimes during the Summer I watch Boomerang at 12 in the morning (thats when Top Cat comes on) and Tom and Jerry in the morning.
    :D

  45. I don’t watch American Idol… it was an ad on my homepage. It was related to the British Four so I posted. It was worth a little conversation. =]

Have a great Easter!!! Don’t scare the bunny… he is (labor) union. LOL

  46. My good friend, I think you have lost your “fun” side. You need to go out and scream at the moon!

  47. Oh no, i havent lost it at all! I just dont show it much over the internet lol. And i’ve been busy. (cliche, i know, but true)

  48. LONDON – British astrophysicist Stephen Hawking says aliens are out there, but it could be too dangerous for humans to interact with extraterrestrial life.

Hawking claims in a new documentary that intelligent alien lifeforms almost certainly exist, but warns that communicating with them could be “too risky.”

The 68-year-old scientist says a visit by extraterrestrials to Earth would be like Christopher Columbus arriving in the Americas, “which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans.”

He speculates most extraterrestrial life will be similar to microbes, or small animals — but adds advanced lifeforms may be “nomads, looking to conquer and colonize.”___________________________________________________________

I wonder if I came in on the Mother Ship? ROFL!

Ciao for now… I am going to go look up E.T. … I had a call on my cell phone that didn’t complete due to a no roaming area. DAMN!

    Be Well!

  49. No I haven’t checked it out. I am a walking zombie at the moment. I have too much on my plate. Hopefully I can gain some balance and some “real” time.

Oh, don’t you remember when all we did was chat it up? They say youth is wasted on the young. LOL, well I would like to be young again. I need more TIME!

  50. Yeah, i have been filled up with band, XC, Tests, Research papers, and Chores. lol And I dont like to comment unless I have something worth while to say, which I havent had a lot to say lately, and I don’t wish to bore you! lol

  51. Yah, don’t bore me. hahahahahahaa

What are your chores? Like milking the cows, feeding the chickens, mucking out the barn? I like the word chore. It so rustic.

  52. Pac-man was on the Google search bar today!!! It was a great mini game to play!

  53. I played it for a bit, I am not really into Pac-Man. lol I prefer tetris or dig dug.

    I love pinball! :D

  54. Just a shoutout for Robert Allen Zimmerman

    Bob Dylan turns 69 years old . . .

  55. The man is a walking legend! He influenced so many. Hey tell your dad for me…

    folk music lives! ;)

  56. Everyone knows a good thing when they see it, but I don’t know about hearing it. LOL

  57. And they were all worthy of my tribut to a legend.

See ya Opus. . . Have a great Memorial Day! (and weekend!) and summer!

Let the fun in the sun begin. . .

  58. Anyone watching the World Cup?

The elation was tempered by news that Nelson Mandela, the revered anti-apartheid leader and former South African president, would not attend the ceremony. The 91-year-old Mandela is frail, and decided not to come after his 13-year-old great-granddaughter was killed in a car crash on the way home from Thursday night’s World Cup concert.

  59. I am! I was sad when I heard the news too, bleh!

Anyone watch today’s game? USA vs. England? I honestly could not believe my eyes when England’s goalkeeper totally effed up! This is the World Cup!!! All I could think was ‘wow, poor guy’ lol. I’m sure he’ll bounce back though :)

  60. You should have seen England’s Twitter light up after that HOLY SCREW-UP! Try convincing the U.S. team and its fans there wasn’t a winner in the 1-1 draw with mighty England. Hey, thanks for going Green on this one!

  61. The sun’ll come out tomorrow, but for the first time since 1924, not for Little Orphan Annie. … Leapin’ Lizards: “Little Orphan Annie” Canceled. 86-Year-Old Comic Strip will Make its Last Newspaper Today June 13 … It is raining here… so I will sing it for Annie one last time…..

  62. I’m not really into Football. I’m more interested in Running and Basketball. lol

    Hows everyones summer?

  63. Some say potato some say potatoe

It is Socceroos to the rest of us. xd!

Venue the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg is playing soccer. Now if you want to talk football, let’s take a look at the Super Bowl. No confusion as to running and basketball. On the same page there. ツ

  64. Outstanding! I will listen and see if they call upon you to answer the questions!

With just four chords and one manic tempo,it’s
    “““““““ The Ramones“““““““““`

Not a punk fan, but they seem to have made their claim to fame! It’s an acquired taste! ツ

  65. Something in that cover art tripped my trigger. I knew I saw something like it before.

  66. xd

    I need a ticket!!!!!

  67. Thats cool! lol Very interesting ;P

I just got into my old files from back when I first started making recordings and have been cleaning and remastering ancient songs. Some may finally end up on an “album”! :D
I have also picked up the original recordings of ‘Carnival of Light’ and ‘Love Is’ (i believe the very first actual songs I ever, ever, recorded[these versions being those original recordings]), and have made them release worthy! They were made by using ancient techniques and ancient technology, before I even fathomed using my synthesizer! The piano played on both of these versions is my old upright piano, so the audio was originally over charged (where sound is too loud and causes buzzing/static sounds), and both were very naked (as in they weren’t fully finished). However, with my new technology I was able to fix that! :D I have added reverb and stereo expansions to lessen the static and sound, and have added some overdubs.
(added Bass Guitar and Lead Piano on ‘Love Is’ and added Bass Guitar on ‘Carnival of Light’)
Why did I fix up these ancient recordings? Well, I think Carnival of Light you already heard before, but it was through tinypic, so you havent heard the stereo, or the remastering i have done on it. I liked the recording of ‘Love Is’ because I did the bass (vocal), and it is very old rock n roll-ish (old 50s record kind of sound). Besides, these were done with improvisations (‘Love Is’ percussion was done with me patting the guitar and shaking a Mechanical Pencil graphite re-filler) and the fact i did it all with only sound banks (carnival of light) and no synthesizer (used vocals for bass and my up right piano for the melody, however i added the electric keyboard to play lead melody on ‘Love Is’).
I will upload them and show them to you later! :D The other ancient recordings will be placed into a future “album” P:.

My, that sure is a long comment.

  68. Welcome to the first day of summer!

My research notes are going well! I have moved forward throught the portal of musical time and notes. xd!

    Check this out.

The Moody Blues album was also the first of what was to be a session of concept albums. Inspired by the Beatles Sgt Pepper and London Festival Orchestra.

Hey, maybe they copied your blog header for their album art.

  69. The Moody Blues! My dad has some of their records on vinyl >D

Did you know they in-directly inspired the Rolling Stones? (name wise) :o

  70. Hmmmm. Would there be a little tune called Strawberry Fields Forever if Pinder did’nt introduce the tron to Lennon ?

Eyup, I know the Moody Blues. I believe most of my research comes from vinyl. Long live grandparents! Well and of course your dad. :P

  71. I dont know how the hell i did it, but my new album is the exact same length as Grayscale. Seconds and all. (38:40)

  72. OMG!!!!! OMG!!!! I SWEAR you either are a mind reader or we just happened to have the same sun in the 7th house (cuz we sure aren’t related! lol) .

I was going to ask you earlier to start a chat group. We could use Logan’s old site. He sure isn’t using it, and doubt seriously if he comes back from Argentina’s lala land. hahahaha
